Shanna Johnson joined the Trinity Health at Home leadership team in late spring 2019, to serve as the Senior Executive Director for a new and innovative program that provides hospital care at home.  She is developing the program to expand beyond a grant-funded pilot, to a scalable service that expands across the country into viable markets.  Previously, she was a member of the Beaumont Royal Oak senior leadership team, serving as vice president of service excellence.  In her role, she led the organizational strategies to improve the patient experience and to advance patient and family centered care culture.  She also led operations for support departments and clinical services provided in imaging.  Prior to joining Beaumont, Shanna served as the system vice president for clinical quality and analytics for Trinity Health.  Her diverse background includes working as a social worker and in various roles in healthcare – hospital operations, project management, risk management, and performance improvement.  She is a certified as a six-sigma black belt, patient safety officer, and is a graduate of the Intermountain Healthcare advance training program (ATP) in quality.  She is also an American College of Health Executives (ACHE) Thomas C. Dolan scholar graduate.  Shanna earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  She later returned to earn a Master’s degree in Health Service Administration with a focus on Health Management and Policy from the School of Public Health.   She is passionate about the power of mentorship.  She actively provides support to early and mid-careerist across the country, as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
