Dr. Laurie Shanderson is the Founding Dean of the School of Health Sciences at Northcentral University. Immediately prior to this inaugural position, she served as Assistant Dean and Associate Dean in the School of Health Sciences at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey.
Dr. Shanderson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Services from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration/Health Administration from Pace University (White Plains, New York), and subsequently a Ph.D. in Health Services Administration from Walden University (Minneapolis, MN). She is also a Fellow (FACHE) of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
During her career, she has worked at a variety of health institutions including health insurance organizations, non-profit health organizations, a research institute and most recently, institutions of higher education. Her background in healthcare includes distance education, program development, accreditation, cultural competence/diversity, utilization analysis, medical economics, quality measures, and health administration/management. Her current research interests include cultural competence, interprofessional collaboration, and dimensions of diversity.
