Taking Action, Creating Change

I believe we all teach and learn from each other. But we must have the drive, the energy and the courage to be actively engaged. We have to take action: share our perspectives and educate, inform and broaden individual and collective thinking in our workplace as well as in professional societies, associations, and in our communities. Whether we are developing programs, policies, or providing services, we are helping to create the changes necessary to bring awareness, open-mindedness, acceptance and inclusion. Instead of waiting for ACHE to do something for me, I decided to get involved and volunteer. As a Regent-at-Large, by sharing a passion to advance the same goals, I have met some of the most wonderful professional colleagues whom I can call my friends.
