Senior Assistant Professor
Chinue Uecker is a Senior Assistant Professor at Strayer University, Assistant Professor at The Chicago School, and Master Black Belt at LPI Consultants. She has 20 years’ experience in process improvement, project management, and strategy. She began her career as a Chemical Engineer at Abbott Laboratories. In 2005, she joined GE Healthcare as a Manufacturing Manager. In 2009, she formed LPI Consultants and successfully led initiatives across the Americas, Australia, China, Europe, and Japan. In 2011, her career and love for the outdoors took her and her family to St. Thomas, USVI. She worked for the International Capital Management Company as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Strategy Manager, and Program Manager.
Since obtaining her doctorate, she has taught Lean Six Sigma and Quality at the University of the Virgin Islands, Operations Management and Leadership at Strayer University, Strategic Management and Marketing at The Chicago School, along with serving as a Coaching Fellow for IHI’s Leading and Organizing for Change course and as an independent consultant supporting a cancer research center in developing a telehealth presence within the United States and an international life sciences company in redefining their supply chain operations. She has a BA in Chemistry from the University of Chicago, a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an MBA from Marquette University, and a DBA from Walden University with a Healthcare Management specialization. She is a certified Master Black Belt and Strategic Planning Professional. Additionally, she serves as the Board Chair for the Boys and Girls Club of St. Thomas/St. John, Secretary for the Association for Strategic Planning, and co-lead for ASP’s Women in Strategy Community of Practice.
