Anthony V. King’s interest in health care administration stemmed from the encouragement in his upbringing to better the lives of family and others. The native Detroiter’s nearly 20-year work history encompasses vast, diverse leadership experience in the health care industry. Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for The Wellness Plan Medical Centers. In a brief period of time, he’s had several major accomplishments, including the obtainment of the Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike Center status, while simultaneously increasing revenue. Among his previous positions, he has served as President/CEO of the Family Health Center, Inc. (Kalamazoo County Health Plan Corporation); President, Saint Mary’s Health Management Company (Medical Center of Trinity Health); and Director of Ambulatory Care Services. Mr. King has a Master’s of Health Service Administration, University of Michigan; Bachelor of Science, Psychology University of Michigan. His professional affiliations include the Immediate Past President of The National Association of Health Services Executives; and American College of Healthcare Executives, current Fellow and former Chairman-Membership Committee.
