Dr. Henson serves as Chief Medical Officer with Piedmont Henry Hospital and Chief of Neurology with Piedmont Healthcare, both in Georgia. Her earlier healthcare administrative positions include Medical Director, Site Director, Chief of Staff, and Chief of Neurology Division with several healthcare facilities. As a clinician, she served as a neurologist for more than ten years. Dr. Henson earned her Medical Doctorate from Northwestern University Medical School and Masters in Medical Management from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Henson earned a spot in the 2016 cohort of ACHE’s Thomas C. Dolan Executive Diversity Program. In applying to the Dolan EDP, she noted: “I see opportunities to encourage others like me to aim for greater leadership roles, no matter gender or racial background, to take that next step and improve the world of healthcare and the health of our communities.” She identifies integrity and respect as essential attributes of truly successful executives whose work experience aligns with those values.
