Building Your Team-Building Skills
Occasionally during team meetings, I “check in” by going around the table and asking each team member to answer how they are feeling about work on a 3-point scale (i.e., whelmed, overwhelmed, underwhelmed). It serves to create awareness for me as the leader of where I may offer support or shift work; in order to create more balance or satisfaction. It also validates how each person is feeling and affords all of us an opportunity to discuss challenges in the environment. I oftentimes walk away with barriers to remove or feedback to take to others.
